Cookies and statistics

The website code does not store cookies or any data in your browser’s storage and contains no analytics tools. Fonts and scripts are loaded from the same server as the website.

The text size (A, A+, A++) and high contrast buttons in the page header only change how the open page looks. Your choice is not stored anywhere.

Server logs

The servers of Rzeszów University of Technology automatically record in their event logs the requested page, the date and time of the request, the browser type and language, the operating system type and the IP address. The IP address can be used to find out, for example, the country you connect from or your internet service provider.

Email correspondence

Messages sent to mts@prz.edu.pl are received by Rzeszów University of Technology. The university processes the data from this correspondence according to its information clause for people who contact its staff by phone, email or contact form:

Purpose and legal basis: answering your question or handling the matter your message is about, on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing your data is voluntary, but without it, or after you object to its processing, the matter cannot be handled.
Recipients: entities authorised by law, entities involved in handling the matter and companies that process data on the university’s behalf, such as legal, postal and courier or IT services.
Retention period: until the matter is handled or until you object to the processing, and after that for the period required by law.
Your rights: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability, where the law allows, and a complaint to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, Poland) if the processing infringes the GDPR.
The data is not used for automated decision-making, including profiling.

Registration forms

The registration forms for the open day, school groups and competition teams send data to the server of Rzeszów University of Technology, which stores it in the university’s database. We store only what the person registering enters: their name and email address, for the open day the number of adults and children registered, for school and competition entries the school or team details and a phone number, and for competition entries also the names of the team members, their schools or universities and whether they are adults.

With each entry we store the text of every statement and consent, whether it was ticked, and the date and time. Consent to information about future events of Rzeszów University of Technology is voluntary and independent of the registration. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to mts@prz.edu.pl.

After sending a form, the person registering receives an email with a confirmation (for school and competition entries also with the data sent), and the organisers receive a notification with the entry data. The open day confirmation contains a ticket: a QR code with the number of people registered and the email address of the person registering, shown at the entrance.

To limit abuse, the server keeps hashes (HMAC) of the IP address and email address for 24 hours, from which the addresses cannot be recovered. The forms do not use cookies.

Links to other services

The website contains links to other services, such as Google Maps navigation (the “Get directions in Google Maps” button and the QR code on the Getting here page). Once you go to them, their own privacy rules apply.
